Getting Fit-The Process-
A process. Indeed.
The discipline, mental toughness, strong will…blah, blah.
It can all go down the tube pretty quickly at the prospect of a much more comfortable evening, cuddling on the sofa enjoying a hot cup chocolate.
The workouts can wait, or the healthy eating routine for that matter…
Oh, yeah…very familiar scenario
We all have been through that.
I know I have. I just recently decided not to renew my gym membership, deluding myself into thinking I would immediately continue working out at home. Yeah.
It took me several months before I actually got around to gather my dumbbells, and bands and decided to adjust my workout routines and schedule.
No Body Said It Would Be Easy
Because it is not.
Not by a long shot. Don’t kid yourself into thinking it will be easy. Even the pros slip up from time to time, let alone us, mere mortals.
Start With Self Analysis
Ask yourself the following:
- How bad do I want to do this? (losing weight, get stronger, build muscle, increase energy, improve eating habits etc)
- Could I do it alone? Is my partner supportive?
Do some preliminary research (to know enough to ask yourself relevant questions about your particular needs)
Write it all down as it comes to mind!
Assess your current state mind and health (how did it happen? how will you deal with your relapses without being hard on yourself?)
Just start!
The wheels will start spinning and soon you WILL be enjoying your new lifestyle.
Much sooner than you think and easier than you thought it would be.
Trust me, it works for me…every time I hit a plateau, or a set back in any other area in my life.
