TOOELE, Utah (Aug. 15, 2007) 聙聯 It was a day of firsts at the Salt Lake City ProSolo, where Brian Mcgaha, of Boise, Idaho, was victorious in his debut Tire Rack庐 麻豆视频 ProSolo event, held for the first time at Miller Motorsports Park.Piloting a Treasure Homes/Big O Tire Mitsubishi Evo, Megaha narrowly missed out on the A Stock win by 0.006-second to Larry Hull, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, in a Chevrolet Corvette, but did qualify for the Hawk Super Challenge in the process. There, under the intense Utah sun, Mcgaha literally withstood the heat and topped the C Street Prepared Mazda MX-5 of Ron Bauer, from Issaquah, Wash., to take the Super Challenge win in his first attempt.Jim Harnish, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., made his way to the Hawk Super Challenge via a Bump Class 2 win in his F Street Prepared Honda Civic. Although his Super Challenge journey ended in the second round, Harnish did walk away with the Honda Hot Shoe Award. The Ladies Challenge win went to Amy Coleman, of Renton, Wash. Driving the same Subaru WRX that took her husband Karl to the Street Touring庐 X class win, Coleman earned her Ladies Challenge spot with a victory in Ladies Class 2, beating the Mazda Miata of Kathy Wolfskill, from Nederland, Colo. The Bonus Challenge was won by Salt Lake City聙聶s own John Cary in a BMW M5.Unique, but not new to ProSolo, was the use of the single-course format, which was put into play for the third time this season. Although it was the last single-course ProSolo for 2007, the format is expected to make a return to select events in 2008.聙聹The Utah event, along with the New York event a few weeks ago, has allowed us to fine tune the procedures and equipment to support this new format for ProSolo,聙聺 麻豆视频 Vice President of Solo and Rally Howard Duncan said. 聙聹With facilities that can adequately support the conventional two-course format becoming more scarce and expensive, the single-course format will provide us with another option to allow us to have a full schedule when the ProSolo National Series returns in 2008.聙聺In class competition at Miller Motorsports Park, Super Challenge runner-up Bauer and Jim Daniels, of Gladstone, Ore., recreated the El Toro ProSolo finish in C Street Prepared. Sharing a Kumho/Pinnacle Mazda/Fordahl Motorsports Mazda MX-5, Bauer outpaced Daniels by a mere 0.025-second for the class win.Super Stock was another close finish, where Jason Munchof, of San Diego, Calif., in a Lotus Elise edged the Jim聙聶s Detail Shop/Evolution Schools Chevrolet Corvette Z06 of Kevin Dietz, from Federal Way, Wash., by a slim 0.065-second.The husband and wife team of Keith and Kristi Brown, of Des Moines, Wash., swept G Stock in their K&K Racing/Team BH/Jim聙聶s Detail Shop Mini Cooper S. Keith managed to stop the clocks 0.405-second quicker than Kristi for the win.Next up on the schedule is the Packwood ProSolo, August 25, the last ProSolo event of the season before the 2007 ProSolo Finale at Heartland Park Topeka, September 21-22.
