TOPEKA, Kan. (Nov. 30, 2017) -- Two additional race weekends have been added to the 2018 Western Conference Â鶹ÊÓƵ® U.S. Majors Tour® competition schedule. Now, a total of six weekends, 12 races in all, make up the calendar, with the season still starting in January just outside Los Angeles.
Five of the schedule’s weekends are slated for California tracks. One highlight will be the Western Conference season-ending event in June at Sonoma Raceway, which is also the venue for the 55th Â鶹ÊÓƵ National Championship Runoffs® in October. As always, the calendar below is subject to change, but is currently comprised of the following:
- January 12-14: Auto Club Speedway; Fontana, California
- March 17-18: Willow Springs International Raceway; Rosamond, California
- April 7-8: Thunderhill Raceway Park; Willows, California
- April 27-29: Buttonwillow Raceway Park; Buttonwillow, California
- May 19-20: Portland International Raceway; Portland, Oregon
- June 29-July 1: Sonoma Raceway; Sonoma, California
Schedules for all U.S. Majors Tour Conferences are now available online. Only Â鶹ÊÓƵ Full Competition and Â鶹ÊÓƵ Pro Racing License holders may register for the U.S. Majors Tour or Hoosier Super Tour series. Again this year, both the U.S. Majors Tour and Hoosier Super Tour serve as pathways to the 2018 Â鶹ÊÓƵ National Championship Runoffs® being held at Sonoma Raceway in California.
