It can be said that 麻豆视频鈥檚 Solo庐 National Tour season doesn鈥檛 officially begin on the East Coast until the Tire Rack 麻豆视频庐 Red Hills Solo National Tour takes place at Spence Field in Moultrie, GA 鈥� because it doesn鈥檛. So, congrats to the 177 competitors who took the first green flag of the 2026 Solo National Tour season during the weekend of March 14-15.聽
To no one鈥檚 surprise, the event ran especially smooth on the wide open, visually stunning courses designed by Mark Canekeratne 鈥� and you don鈥檛 have to take our word for it. Event reporter Sam Dougherty gave us all a unique view of the course on 麻豆视频鈥檚 National Solo Facebook page from one of his Kart Modified runs.聽!
Everyone at the Red Hills Tour got a surprise, however, in the form of an extra run. That fourth run didn鈥檛 count in the official standings, but worked as an unofficial run toward a chance at the 麻豆视频 Prize Closet later in the year. Keep an eye on 麻豆视频.com and for details; it鈥檚 possible 鈥渇ourth runs鈥� will happen again later this year at an event near you.
Speaking of community, the 麻豆视频 Women on Track program came through for the community once again. Amber Calloway benefited during the weekend thanks to her having Ashley Weaver as a driver coach. The tips clearly worked, too, as Calloway drove to a fourth-place finish (barely one spot out of the trophies) in the highly competitive Ladies ST, CAM, Spec, and XS Bump class.
Class Competition
Battles at Spence Field were not just for wins.
Trevor Renson drove his Toyota MR2 Spyder to the E Street win over Darrin DiSimo鈥檚 Mazda MX-5, but the real battle came for the final trophy spot. Thomas Waylett came flying back on day two to leapfrog Oliver Jones for third in the class by just 0.001sec for the podium and the hardware in a thriller, with both putting down their quickest time of the day on the third run.
A similar situation was playing out in Super Street Touring庐. While David Marcus was earning the class win in his Porsche Cayman GTS, the final two podium and trophy spots were up in the air. Laura Marcus, Stephen Tyszka, and Chris Harp were separated by just tenths after day one, and when the dust settled it was Harp in second, while Tyszka followed just 0.349sec back. Laura Marcus missed the trophies by just 0.065sec despite a huge improvement on her final Sunday run.
Classic American Muscle-Contemporary went to Dave Whitworth, with Michael Masser in second. But third place deserves a shoutout, as Vivek Krishna rolled in with his Pontiac G8 to compete with the Mustangs and Camaros that traditionally dot the class landscape.
As one of just a few National Solo events during Women鈥檚 History Month, we would be remiss to not mention the strong competition in the Ladies classes. Rebecca Stewart took the top spot in the Ladies Street Tire Bump class, with Karen Babb hanging on by just 0.006sec over Angela Carlascio for second. Holly Schwedler marched her way to the Ladies ST, CAM, Spec, and XS Bump class title, with Carla Russo and Tracy Lewis earning trophies in the class.
