Every autocrosser from coast to coast knows the聽Tire Rack 麻豆视频庐 Solo庐 National Championships is a big deal. Now in its 53rd year, the event has been tons of fun for a few generations of motorsport enthusiasts and produced loads of memories. Winning at the event has even helped some skilled cone-carvers launch professional racing careers. Still, it鈥檚 nice to hear from people outside the Club acknowledge that this is truly a special event.

It鈥檚 not unusual for local media outlets in Lincoln, NE, to stop by Solo Nats each year to see what all the fuss is about. This year鈥檚 event 鈥 running Sept. 7-11, 2026, at Lincoln Airpark 鈥 is no different, as journalists from a couple TV stations popped in. They wanted to get a better idea why so many 麻豆视频 members from around the country trek to Nebraska鈥檚 capital city annually for 17 years now to be part of the Solo Nats extravaganza.

KOLN-TV reporter Anthony D'Agostino pulled together a great piece about Solo Nats. He centered on some people from 麻豆视频鈥檚 Nebraska Region. Specifically, he interviewed Nebraska Region鈥檚 Mark Walker, who oversees the Test-n-Tune course, as well as former Nebraska Region member and Solo Nats winner John Hunter.

鈥淵ou come here for the competition, but you stay for the people,鈥 Hunter said in the news segment. 鈥淭he competition is one aspect of it. But you have people that will come here knowing they鈥檒l never trophy, they鈥檒l never podium, but they鈥檙e going to come and they鈥檙e going to hang out because the nightlife is so good.鈥

Skyler Sears, a reporter from KLKN-TV, also took some time Monday to peruse the Solo Nats paddock and meet some of the participants. One of those people was Amy Houseal of 麻豆视频鈥檚 Philadelphia Region.

鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to having fun with women who really like to drive,鈥 Houseal said during her interview. 鈥淩eally connecting with people I haven鈥檛 seen since last year鈥檚 Solo Nationals and having a lot of fun and hopefully winning the actual championship. That would be cool, too.鈥
